چکیده

The flexibility of producing two dispersive waves (DWs) in silicon nitride (Si3N4) slot waveguide is demonstrated, by tailoring the features and corresponding phase-matching condition. DWs are generated at visible mid-infrared (mid-IR) wavelength regions, respectively. We obtain a broadband low normal dispersion region from 2 to 5.25 μm, which offers particular advantages for DW generation mid-IR region. long-wave wave (LWDW) can cover beyond 4 μm. This first time illustrate freedom Si3N4 ever reported. A spectrum be extended 0.5 4.5 μm -30 dB level launching 1-kW 1550-nm hyperbolic secant input pump pulse 1-cm proposed waveguide. newly formed has high degree coherence. approach provides more frequency conversion, biophotonics, optical sensing, chip-integrated spectroscopy, health environmental monitoring.

Slotted Waveguide Slow-wave Stochastic Cooling Arrays

The slotted waveguide slow-wave stochastic cooling arrays are an integral part of the 4-8 GHz Debuncher Upgrade at FNAL. Unlike the standard array of stripline electrodes, these structures are designed to work when the beam pipe can support many microwave modes. The design theory and beam measurement results of this new type of pickup structure will be presented in this paper.

Interaction of an optical soliton with a dispersive wave.

Scattering of a dispersive wave by optical solitons is studied experimentally in photonic crystal fibers in cases when the soliton and the dispersive wave have either identical or orthogonal polarization states. Observations of new resonant frequencies are reported. The experimental results are compared to numerical simulations and predictions from the recently derived wave vector matching cond...

Upconversion based continuous-wave mid-infrared detection

We present theoretical and experimental work on upconversion based mid-wavelength infrared detection using silicon detectors without the need for cryogenic cooling. We consider both multi-spectral imaging and point spectroscopy targeting several specific applications.
